INTOSAI Professional Standards Committee

Welcome to the INTOSAI Professional Standards Committee (PSC)

The PSC was established at the INCOSAI XVIII in Budapest in 2004. The SAI of Denmark, represented by Auditor General Henrik Otbo, was elected chairman of the committee for the second time at the INCOSAI in Mexico in 2007. The chair is elected for a three-year period.

The PSC develops and maintains the International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAI) and INTOSAI Guidance for Good Governance (INTOSAI GOV). The ISSAIs are the professional standards governing public sector auditing around the world and INTOSAI GOVs provide guidance directed at public authorities. ISSAIs and INTOSAI GOVs are officially launched and made available on www.issai.org

This website primarily serves as a communication tool for the sub-committees established under the PSC. This is where the chairs of the subcommittees report on their activities, products, and membership.

The Harmonisation Project now approved by the PSC Steering Committee

Read the underlying project proposal and the report on the auditing function of SAIs that will provide the foundation for the future harmonisation of the ISSAI Framework.
